Sony Vita slim next month in UK

Remember when I write about something slim is coming from Sony? now we know what it is!

"JAPANESE VIDEO GAME OUTFIT Sony announced plans on Thursday to bring its PS Vita Slim handheld console to the UK
Sony PS Vita SlimThe PS Vita Slim made its debut in the Japan last year, and today Sony announced that the skinny console will be coming to the UK on 7 February, priced at £180. This sees the firm looking to challenge Nintendo's 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles, which reportedly are selling well despite disappointing Wii U sales.

As its name suggests, the PS Vita Slim is smaller than the original PS Vita. The device measures 183.6x85.1x15mm and weighs 219g, making the console 20 percent slimmer and 15 percent lighter than its predecessor.
The PS Vita Slim also improves on the original console with an IPS LCD screen rather than an OLED panel, and Sony claims that its battery will last for around six hours, considerably longer than the original Vita.
Beyond that, the specifications remain unchanged, with the PS Vita Slim featuring a quad-core ARM Cortex A9 Core processor, 512MB of RAM, a 5in 960x540 resolution touchscreen display, dual cameras and a microUSB charging port.

However, Sony has said that UK punters will only be able to buy the WiFi-only PS Vita Slim, rather than the model with 3G, adding that only the black model will be made available in Blighty.

Still, thanks to Sony's recent unveiling of Playstation Now, the handheldconsole will be capable of streaming Playstation 4 (PS4) games.
Sony said that the PS Vita Slim will be available to pre-order from today. It hasn't yet announced whether the console will see a release in the US."
